Day 1: Meeting at Airport Tbilisi
Arrival at Tbilisi. Transfer to hotel, accommodation. Free time. Overnight stay in the hotel in Tbilisi
Day 2: Tbilisi
Breakfast at hotel. Sightseeing-tour through the old Tbilisi: Metekhi Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Tbilisi Sulfur Bath Area, Fig Gorge Waterfall, Shardeni Area, Peace Bridge, Rike Park. Ascent with the ropeway to fortress Narikala, the old citadel and the city´s main fortress. Not all tourists have the possibility to be able to come to the concert of national songs and dances, but they still have the opportunity to get to know this specific part of Georgian culture in restaurants as well. At this occasion we recommend lunch in the restaurants (optional). You will be familiarized with seditious Georgian dances and songs while eating lunch at the establishment (For an additional fee of $25/person). The transfer to/from the hotel is included. Day 3: Tbilisi => Sighnaghi => Bodbe => Kvareli => Tbilisi
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the eastern part of Georgian Kakheti - the area of the vine, Georgian wine´s birthplace. The first station is in the village Badiauri where we invite you to a breakfast "after Kakheti" (hot Bread-Shoti, cheese, yoghurt and of course Chacha. Without Chacha it´s not breakfast, like they say in Kakheti). Next, we visit the medieval city Sighnagi, which is on a hill where a wonderful view of the Alazani-Valley and foothills of the south Caucasus lies. Afterwards you´ll visit the nun-monastery Bodbe. Our route leads us onward to the city Kvareli.Soon after you´ll visit the famous wine factory "Kindzmarauli". There you´ll find a tour through the factory, you will learn the technology behind making the best Georgian wine varieties and will be able to try out 4 different wine varieties (the tour and wine tasting is included in the price). Next the tour follows with a visit of a farmer´s wine cellar and tasting of traditional Kakhetian wine in the village Gavazi. The establishment´s hostess will prepare us a feast with delicious homemade food and the owner will reveal the secrets behind the cooking on a real Georgian grill. The feast will be served in a sincere traditional atmosphere with Georgian bread and handpicked homemade wine under the direction of a Georgian toastmaster called a "Tamada". Lunch in the village Gavazi (food is included in the price). Late return to and overnight stay in the hotel in Tiflis
Day 4: Tbilisi => Kazbegi => Ananuri => Gudauri => Tbilisi
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Kazbegi. On our way we´ll look over the architectural complex Ananuri (16th century), which is located right next to the Georgian military road on of the most famous castles Georgia´s, whose main advantage is it´s security. All walls and towers with its breath-taking view of the Zhinvali-reservoir are still kept to this day. Our next obligatory stop is the viewing platform at Gudauri´s entrance called "Bow of Village friendship" (extreme enthusiasts can even paraglide in Gudauri). Next, we will drive to Kazbegi. You have the possibility to enjoy the view of one of the tallest and astonishing peaks of Caucasus - the mountain Kazbek(5047m) - and with off-road vehicles arrive at the church of the three-holy trinity Gergeti (14th century), (5$ per person) located at a height of 2170m, at the foot of Kasbek, from where an unforgettable view of the expanses opens. Return to Tiflis. Overnight stay in the hotel in Tbilisi
Day 5: Tbilisi => Gori => Uplistsikhe => Borjomi
Breakfast at hotel. Departure into the city Gori, where we can visit the Stalin’s Museum and his house. Visit of the cave town Uplistsikhe (2000 B.C.) As a settlement the city was created 2000 years before Vardzia and 1500 years before D. Gareji, it was created in the second century of 2000 B.C., is a treasure of the Georgian people, a brilliant memorial, the material culture of Georgians, one in stone chiselled page of history. Continued drive to Borjomi. A visit to Borjomi´s famous nationalpark Kahragauli, where you can try the real Borjomi directly out of it´s source. After a stroll through the nationalpark you can swim in the war sulfur´s sources under the free sky. Overnight stay in the guesthouse in Tsagveri with amenities and dinner
Day 6: Tsagveri => Akhaltsikhe => Wardzia => Tsagveri
Breakfast. Departure to the city Akhaltsikhe, visit of the historic city fortress Rabat - This is one of the most beautiful medieval Fortresses in Georgia. Afterwards we will visit the famous cave city Vardzia - a cave-monastery complex out of the 12th-13th century in southern Georgia, Javakheti. An outstanding Memorial of the medieval Georgian Architecture. Return to Tsagveri. Overnight stay in the guesthouse in Tsagveri with amenities
Day 7: Tsagveri => Mtskheta => Tbilisi
Breakfast. Departure to Mzcheta (second Jerusalem), the oldest and beautiful city. Visit of the UNESCO- world heritage sites Jvari-temple monastery (6th century) and Swetizchoweli-cathedral (11th century), where the Jesus Christ’s chiton is kept. Arrival in Tiflis. Free time. Overnight stay in the hotel in Tbilisi
Day 8: Airport transfer
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Tbilisi airport. Arrival at home.
