Breakfast at the hotel. A sightseeing walking tour around Old Tbilisi: the old part of the city, Tiflis sulphur baths, a waterfall in Injir pass, Shardeni Street, the Peace brigde, the funicular ascent to the Narikala fortress. We’ll ascend to the sacred mountain Mtatsminda with the funicular, where you’ll see A.Griboedov’s grave and the Pantheon of well-known Georgian activists. If you wish, you can visit the sulphur baths. We offer dinner in a restaurant with exciting Georgian dances and songs (for extra pay – $20 per person). Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the city of Gori, where we’ll attend the Joseph Stalin Museum and his house. A visit to a cave town called Uplistsikhe (II millennium BC). As a settlement, the town appeared 2000 years before Vardzia and 1500 years before David Gareja. Being that ancient, it’s the treasure of the Georgians, a brilliant monument, physical culture of the Georgians, a page written on the history stone. Next Drive to Kutaisi.Visit to UNESCO World Heritage Sites – Bagrati Monastery, Gelati Monastery and Academy, founded by the great Georgian King David IV – the builder. Overnight at the hotel 4* in Kutaisi. Dinner. (Dinner included in the price)
Breakfast at the hotel. Next Drive to Tskaltubo. visit to the cave of Prometheus. An incredibly beautiful cave with huge halls that are poured with different colors, a laser show, amazing kinds of stalactites and stalagmites that nature itself made – you can see all this with your own eyes, having visited this wonderful place.Departure to Borjomi. A visit to the famous Borjomi National Park – Kharaguli, where you may taste the genuine Borjomi from a spring. After a walk in the national park you may wish to have a swim in warm sulphur springs in the open air. Return to Tbilisi. A night at a hotel in Tbilisi
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Mtskheta (second Jerusalem) – the most ancient and beautiful city. A visit to the UNESCO world heritage sights – Jvari monastery (VI c.) and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (XI c.) with a Jesus Christ’s chiton. Then we’ll continue our way to Ananuri located on the Georgian Military Road. We’ll observe the stronghold Ananuri (XVII c.) facing the magnificent Zhinvali reservoir. Then we’ll go to Kazbegi. You’ll have an opportunity to enjoy the sight of one of the highest and most impressive mountains of the Caucasus – Kazbek (5047 m) and ascend by jeep to Gergeti Trinity Church (XIV c.) at the altitude of 2200 m at the foot of Kazbek. There’s an unbelievable view of the nature there. Return to Tbilisi. A night at a hotel in Tbilisi
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the eastern part of Georgia – Kakheti – the vine area, birthplace of the Georgian wine. Arrival in Sighnaghi, the city of love – a city tour. We’ll go to the women’s monastery (nunnery) of Bodbe. Then we’ll go to the city of Kvareli. We’ll visit a famous winery Kindzmarauli and taste 4 types of wine (wine tasting – for free). Next we’ll depart for the settlement of Gavazi: tourists will have an opportunity to see and participate in cooking shashlyk (barbecue) and taste traditional Kakheti wine and chacha. The feast will be held in a friendly traditional atmosphere with Georgian toasts and precious homemade wine – and there’ll be a toaster. (Dinner is included in the price of the tour).
